Leslie Luedtke, Board Member and Events Chair for SANEWA, offers a recap of the Rummage Sale:
"After months of planning, SANEWA served up another fantastic SANEWA Senior Support Project! This time for our friends at the Corbin Senior Activity Center as we hosted a HUGE rummage sale to raise funds for them during the COVID crisis. As many of you know, Corbin has been unable to run several of their staple fundraiser events due to COVID. Thanks to the creative and resourceful team at Corbin, we were able to pull off a safe and extremely successful event!
On Saturday, August 22nd, a small army of dedicated volunteers from our SANEWA community as well as several members of the Corbin Senior Center, gathered to bring over 2,000 donated items from the inside of the center to the outside parking lot! Many hands make light work and this rang so true bright and early that morning! A big thanks to all of the volunteers that made this mammoth task happen! I would also like to thank our generous community for all of the donations the Corbin Center received over the last several months. We were able to raise $7,300 for Corbin!!
This community continues to amaze me! When the call for action is given, the big hearted and selfless people who make up SANEWA and our senior community never disappoint. I am honored to serve side by side with you all! Great job everyone!!!"
